Plan your care
Check whether your philodendron is a climbing type or a self-supporting form. A climbing support is useful only when the plant has stems that can be trained onto it.
Leave room for new foliage and inspect ties as growth develops. When the plant grows slowly, compare light and moisture with its normal conditions before increasing feed or moving it into a much larger pot.
Growing tips
Water after the upper compost starts to dry and let excess drain away. Keep climbing stems supported and allow air around the leaves. Avoid strong direct sun and cold draughts.
